Mid-town Bend, which is the close in east side area from the parkway to about NE 12th St and from Bend High up to Butler Market, is rapidly gaining popularity for home searches as the price of homes on the westside start climbing again. The potential issue with the homes here in mid-town are similar to the issues with a lot of homes in the old westside area, which is that lots of the affordable ones need lots of work. This does not have that issue. It was originally built in 1970, but has been remodeled and updated. The updates include a remodeled open kitchen, skylights added to bring in more light, vinyl dual pane windows throughout, redesigned stone hearth behind the gas stove fireplace in the living room, and new carpeting in the master bedroom. Besides the updated turnkey condition of this house it was two full bathrooms, which a lot of the homes in the area don’t have.
The back yard of the house has two concrete patios and nice low maintenance landscaping. It would make a great place for relaxing and hanging out with friends. The home does have a carport attached to the house, but there is a new detached concrete garage or workshop located off the alley. The garage has custom sliding barn door style doors, and is wired with 220 volt power. Next to the garage there is a parking area which you could probably fit a reasonable size recreation vehicle in.
Based on the condition of the house and it features, I don’t think it will last long at $210,000. If you want to check it out you should do it soon.
